What subjects do you offer?

Leaving Cert Maths, Junior Cycle Maths, and Leaving Cert Physics. Each subject uses the same three plan formats, support channels, and Parents/Guardians dashboard, fully online across Ireland via Zoom. Transition Year students can join Group Grinds at the level they are taking: Ordinary Level joins the LC OL Maths group (5th and 6th year together), and Higher Level joins the 5th-year LC HL Maths group. Repeat Leaving Cert students join the LC OL Maths group or the 6th-year LC HL Maths group, depending on the level they are taking. The LC OL group includes both 5th and 6th year students. We also offer University Level Grinds. Contact us if you would like an arrangement.

What are the three plan formats?

Group Grinds (€79, two classes a week with two free first grinds), 1-to-1 (€179, one private lesson a week), and premium 1-to-1 (€359, two private lessons a week). Every plan includes a worksheet and solutions every class, a plan of action (personalised on 1-to-1; each Group Grinds class has its own), class tests throughout, and one exam-year mock. Pay monthly. Leaving Cert and Junior Cycle use the same rates.

How is Group Grinds different from 1-to-1?

In Group Grinds, students learn together twice a week and share a group plan of action. Transition Year students can join Group Grinds at the level they are taking: Ordinary Level joins the LC OL Maths group (5th and 6th year together), and Higher Level joins the 5th-year LC HL Maths group. Repeat Leaving Cert students join the LC OL Maths group or the 6th-year LC HL Maths group, depending on the level they are taking. The LC OL group includes both 5th and 6th year students. In the 1-to-1 plans, the Zoom session is entirely driven by that student's needs, with a personalised plan of action, and exam-year mocks include personalised tutor marking.

Is the first grind really free?

Yes. Book a free grind with no card details. Group Grinds includes two free first grinds; 1-to-1 includes one. Every booking includes the free pre-first lesson assessment so the tutor knows the level. After admission you unlock free student and parent dashboards: lesson prep, worksheets and solutions, and a post-grind quiz on each complimentary lesson. Recordings unlock after you enrol. After that you choose a monthly plan if the format fits. There is no pressure to enrol on the day.

How is this different from a typical weekly grind?

A typical grind is one hour a week, then little help until the next class. We combine two live Group Grinds or true 1-to-1 with a plan of action you can see, WhatsApp rescue, website tutor messages, anonymous questions, post-grind quizzes, class tests, and a Parents/Guardians dashboard, so students do not stay stuck until the next lesson.

What if I'm stuck on homework between lessons?

WhatsApp support and website tutor messages are available between lessons. Replies usually come in less than 24 hours; if not, within 24-48 hours. You can also use the anonymous group question box, browse the community question bank, or submit lesson preparation before class.

Are all lessons online?

Yes. Every live grind runs on Zoom for students across Ireland. WhatsApp, website tutor messages, question banks, lesson prep, recordings, resources, and the Parents/Guardians dashboard are included on every plan. Only the live weekly session format changes: Group Grinds or 1-to-1.

Is the pre-first lesson assessment free?

Yes. Completely free for anyone interested, alongside the free first grind. It is a required multiple-choice test split into topic sections that maps where a student is falling down in core areas such as algebra, complex numbers, calculus, probability and statistics, so the tutor knows their level before the free first grind. It is not a pass/fail exam. Students can mark N/A on topics they have not covered yet so those questions are not scored as wrong. It cannot be skipped or replaced with a school test.

Can Parents/Guardians see progress?

Yes. Linked Parents/Guardians accounts have their own dashboard, progress updates, homework, pre-first lesson assessments, engagement statistics, lesson activity, and student questions. They can also WhatsApp the tutor.

How does billing work?

Simple monthly pricing per student, per subject, priced across the school year. Same rates for Leaving Cert and Junior Cycle: from €79/month for Group Grinds (two classes a week, including two free first grinds), €179 for 1-to-1, or €359 for premium 1-to-1. Join any month. December and January are charged at three-quarters of the standard rate, and there is no bill at all over the summer. Contact us if your dates need a custom quote.
